David serves as the President of the Board of the Directors for the Gulfport Police Department Athletic League. This is an organization that provides opportunities to underprivileged children such as life skills, drug and gang prevention, after school tutoring, summer camps and other education and athletic opportunities.
David serves as a Gulf Coast representative on the Board of Directors for the Mississippi Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors.
Dianne serves as the Coordinator of the Harrison County Volunteers to Feed the Needy. This is a program that provides and delivers meals to the less fortunate at Thanksgiving and Christmas. This program has grown from 200 meals to nearly 2000.
Shoemake Painting Services, Inc., sponsors a $1,000.00 per year scholarship in honor of David's Mother that is given to a graduating senior at Gulfport High School who is participating in the Technology Department's Robotics Team.
Derek is active in Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity that he was a member of during his time at Mississippi State University.
